Good post.

As for Tzvetkoff, I have no information to add, but I will speculate that we will find out he was more of an irresponsible degenerate always bound to go broke who happened to be in the right place at the right time to step into an insane amount of money. Yet we'll see that he still stole money on top of that, still went bankrupt and then settled on turning in his business partners to an overzealous government enforcement agency that just couldn't help but pursue the giant money grab that was online poker.

Oh, and I think we'll see that Tzvetkoff's actions in this world were much worse for pretty much everybody here than say PokerStars.

In short, it'll be nice to read that our government cut Stalin a deal to rat out the local petty thief. Who cares how the actions of a government impact a few million poker players, so long as 10s of millions of dollars are involved that's clearly a favorable trade off in the best interests of the taxpayer.

Question remains why you feel inclined to post such a worthless reply mere seconds after OP's opening remarks?
You're still misunderstanding his point.

I'm looking forward to reading this book when it comes out. In Tzvetkoff fashion, I'll blow all my cash on bottles, strippers, and coke, then steal it from a torrent.

Hopefully you present the book from the perspective things actually happened in that the DOJ cut the real criminal a deal to go after the online poker industry.

Will definitely read the book when it's out.

I hope Daniel Tzvetkoff dies a painful and lonely death.

This is a good thing to consider for your book and the timing.

We are in a market cycle and regulation is coming which will represent the next cycle obv.

http://afr.com/p/poker_liar_BLKwyaaLhgv3ZdEFS59tBM

Anyway, I was wondering if there was anyone on this forum who had any dealings with Tzvetkoff or with his company Intabill and would be willing to share their experiences with me?

I would also be interested in hearing from online players who treated poker as a full time job and have subsequently suffered as a result of Black Friday.

My research is still in the very early stages so I'm sure I will have plenty more questions as I go on but I would be most grateful for any help that the online poker community could give me.

Thanks.
There's a huge amount in the public domain. I suggest you talk to one of his 100 or so ex-employees in Australia.

Cliffs;
1. Sets up Intabill
2. Processes for lots of gaming and adult companies
3. He gives kickback to some guy in Stars to process for them
4. Steals 52m from Tilt and presumably a bunch from Stars
5. Kickback-guy moves from Stars to Tilt
6. Tilt sues Intabill for 52m
7. ????
8. He arrives in Vegas and is pinched
9. Sky falls in on US Poker

You should talk to Chad who just took a plea. I am sure he has more than enough of the true facts on this situation. In short DT = scum of the earth!

As for the payment processor guy, he seems really kick-ass, just wish he wouldn't have snitched and gotten FTP and stars shut down in the US, but it's hard to knock a guy for doing something 99% of people wouldve done.
On top of making multi millions, he wasnt happy enough. He stole like 100million from Stars/FTP. 99% of people would not have done that.Ironically, that is what set Black Friday in motion. He steals 100M, thinking Stars/FTP can't report him to authorities. Stars/FTP indeed report him anyway(stupid). He gets arrested. He snitches. Gives up all the nitty gritty details of payment processing. Game over for online poker.

U guys forgot to mention he lived a very loose lifestyle; partying, drinking and drugs while living in a mansion he couldn't afford by normal means thus bringing more attention to himself. All the while making ridic salary every month decides to go steal from the hand that feeds him just out of greed.

He'll be scamming people/in trouble with some authorities soon enough, though it'll probably take a few years til he runs out of money or gets power-trip/attention hungry. Almost always how this type of story continues/ends.

You can't be that above the law/other human beings in your mind and go back to being just a normal member of society. That's the one or two outer on the river, and things probably have to get brutally bad/bottomed-out before you even have a chance to hit that miracle card.

4th:

I don't know the actual "facts" of any of this since I wasn't directly involved, but Daniel Tzvetkoff was arrested in Las Vegas by the FBI reportedly after somebody from Full Tilt Poker (or maybe Poker Stars although I can't imagine those folks being so stupid) "dropped a dime" on Mr. Tzvetkoff. Apparently some unhappy folks at Full Tilt decided to teach Daniel a lesson for stealing money from them by letting Daniel spend 30+ years in the clink. I wonder who the genius was that shot himself in the head by turning Tzvetkoff over to the feds?

No honor among thieves I suppose.

What set Black Friday in motion was passage of UIGEA. Like a boa constrictor wrapping its coils around prey, it was just a matter of time until the Government squeezed the life out of internet poker. Once UIGEA became law it was all but over. If they had not gotten their hooks into Daniel Tzvetkoff, it would have been somebody else - like say John Campos, Ira Rubin, or Chad Elie.

It just goes to show how little the members of this forum and the media actually know about the truth.

See the Tzvetkoff Wiki –
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Tzvetkoff
Tzvetkoff didn’t steal the money. I should know, I was working for them in the final days! Sam and Dan invested the money with partners. Dan took the fall for his partners Curtis Pope & Scott Clark who stole over $60 million from Sam and Daniel.

Why else would Daniel have got the deal he did with the feds??
Last I heard Curtis and Clark were serving over 2 years.

It's obvious it's only people who lost $ on black friday that wish death on this guy, like you wouldn't have done the same if you had his intelligence.

how did pope only get 20 months for such massive fraud tho? Was that a deal as well? Also i assume the funds can be released if online poker is proven to be a legal activity

Ah yes. Wikipedia and investigative journalists etc. all have it wrong, the truth can be found in first posts on 2+2. Why didn't I see this earlier?

This wiki is such one sided garbage. You are correct, Pope and Clarke did steal 28m from the poker companies. But DT did in fact did steal that 28m from the Poker companies, only later to be stolen from him. In all DT stole 100m+ from numerous poker/casinos companies. The 28 was stolen out of the 100m.

If you only worked with them for the final days, than you no nothing. The fact is Daniel Tzvetkoff stole over 100m from allot of companies. Daniel is the lowest life form possible. The fact that Pope & Clark stole from him is only a side story to the true nature of what DT did with poker player funds.
